Program Information:

The Columbus Botanical Garden is a non-profit organization that provides educational programs for all ages. We currently provide field trips to students and day care centers plus various programs for adults.

Our mission is "to preserve a portion of the rapidly diminishing open space in Columbus and to provide the public with a unique educational facility that is based on environmental awareness, horticulture, historic preservation and agricultural values. This facility shall strive to inspire and leave a lasting impression on those who visit."

Job Description:

Volunteer opportunities are endless. Ground maintenance is an ongoing project throughout the Garden and Joann Holt Walking Trail. Garden and House guides are also needed to lead tours for families, school groups, local clubs and organizations. Other volunteer needs are set-up and break-down from meetings/events, assistance with children and adult programs, web design, proofreading our website, cataloging library books, organizing work areas and so much more.

We have multiple opportunities for volunteers with a variety of schedules; including evening, weekend and at home opportunities. The Columbus Botanical Garden is currently closed on weekends. If you are interested in volunteering on weekends please contact Yolanda Trocho to see if weekend volunteer hours may be possible.

Office hours: Monday - Friday, 10:40 am - 5:00 pm.
