The program provides educational, recreational, cultural and social experience to girls and young women. It fosters creativity, builds self-esteem and helps girls become economically independent. The summer program at each center can be referred to as a summer camp program and runs June-August. There is a free lunch program. Registration will continue as long as space is available. Activities include arts and crafts; tutorial program; computer lab; swimming and sports which include softball, volleyball, and tennis; Operation Smart (science and math skills); Friendly Persuasion (drug and alcohol prevention); Preventing Adolescent Pregnancy (pregnancy prevention classes); Driving Ambition (helps teens prepare for the GA learner's permit); YESS (Youth Entrepreneur and Self Sufficiency program) helps girls visualize the opportunities and reward of owning their own businesses; theatre and performing arts (check for dates); conflict resolution; mother-daughter communications workshop; life skills classes; character and self-esteem building; assertiveness training; career exploration; field trips to various businesses, colleges, trade schools, universities, and recreational sites. Scholarships to colleges, trade schools, etc. are available for former members.
Volunteers are needed to help with child development, education and training, tutoring, fine arts, recreational, sports, and special events.

Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Girls are in the building from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. during school and 9:00 a.m . - 6:00 p.m. during summer.
