Job Description:

Special Event Planner:

Works with staff and volunteers to successfully execute special events and activities for the girls. This person will contact businesses, organizations or persons to coordinate events. Other responsibilities include securing and managing supplies, coordinating volunteers, implementing program, etc. Activities can range from sports clinics, camping activities, crafts and many more.
Time involvement: Flexible
Involvement w/girls: Varied

Special Event / Episodic Volunteer:

Works with the Special Event Planner and/or volunteers. Most events include direct contact with girls in facilitating the program and activities. This person would also assist in the implementation of events. Activities can range from sports clinics, camping activities, crafts and many more.
Time involvement: Flexible
Involvement w/girls: Varied

Troop Leader, Troop Co-Leader, Assistant Troop Leader:

Works closely with troop leaders and girls to help successfully present Girl Scout Program. Ensures the Girl Scout program is presented in a fun and beneficial manner.
Time involvement: Average 10-20 hours/month
Involvement w/girls: Extensive

Special Interest Group/Pathway Series Volunteer:

Works closely with other adult volunteers and girls to provide specialized knowledge or skills of their choosing with a group of girls. Special interest subjects could include the areas of outdoor activities (archery, canoe, camping), arts/theatre, dance and much more. Ensures the program is presented in a fun and beneficial manner.

Workshop Facilitators & Trainers:

Works closely with council staff and volunteer trainers to conduct workshops and classes to ensure adult volunteers are trained on a wide variety of subjects. Can specialize in specific content areas of their choice, such as outdoor cooking, leadership, child behavior, child abuse and neglect, crafts, finances, etc.

Involvement w/girls: Varied

Cadette/Senior & Ambassador Aide:
Works specifically with girls in the 11-17 age range to provide young, positive role models and mentors to this group to promote good decision making skills, leadership and community service. Would participate in a variety of activities and programs according to the interests and expertise of the advisors and the interests of the girls. These activities could include but are not limited to horseback riding, book clubs, community service projects, ropes/challenge courses, canoeing, track, and chat/discussion groups.
Time involvement: Varied
Involvement w/girls: Extensive

Requirements:

Orientation and background check. Other training may be provided according to position chosen.
