Job Description:

The United Way Volunteer Center's mission is to link individuals with flexible opportunities for service through programs, projects and partnerships. We are primarily a web based system serving as a central source for volunteer opportunities. In addition to volunteer projects and special events that we create and manage, the Volunteer Center partners with more than 80 local organizations to assist them with recruiting volunteers. We serve as a 'one-stop shop" for volunteers, listing projects and opportunities that benefit children, families, homeless individuals, seniors, literacy, health, animals, the military, arts & culture, and more. We produce a monthly e-newsletter to keep members informed of upcoming volunteer opportunities.

Although not a requirement, our 30-minute volunteer orientation is strongly recommended. It will
provide you with a good background on the types of volunteer opportunities available and how the Volunteer Center can assist you with finding a good match for your time and talent.
You can sign up for orientations online at our website.
